Dr. Ann Mertens, Emory University, on a program developed as a resource for pediatric cancer survivors in Georgia. Due to the incredible success rates in treating pediatric patients, about 80 percent of children and young adults with cancer will survive. These childhood cancer survivors require specialized long-term, follow-up care. About Ann Mertens Mertens is Pediatric Hematology/Oncology specialist at the Aflac Cancer Center and Blood Disorders Service, Children's Healthcare of Atlanta. She is also a Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine.
