Profile and tribute to Isobel Fraser, (posthumously) honored by Emory Healthcare as a one of four distinguished health care leaders awarded its 2010 Second Century Award. She was awarded the Wadley R. Glenn, MD, Award for Emory University Hospital Midtown. About Isobel Frasier Along with her husband, Genuine Parts founder Carlyle Fraser, she believed in the power of giving to make a difference in the community. Following her husband's death in 1961, Mrs. Fraser established the Carlyle Fraser Heart Center at Emory University Hospital Midtown in his honor. Thanks to the generosity and compassion of Isobel Fraser, the Carlyle Fraser Heart Center has saved countless lives and helped strengthen Emory as a national leader in cardiac care. About the Second Century Awards Emory Healthcare named four distinguished health care leaders as its 2010 Second Century Award winners. Honorees were selected for their significant impact on the care of countless Atlanta citizens, as nominated by Emory University Hospital and Emory University Hospital Midtown supporters and previous award recipients. The awards were presented during the 2010 Second Century Award Dinner, held on Thursday, March 25, 2010, at the Atlanta History Center.
