KU Researcher Identifies Early Signs Of Alzheimer's

Description:

A KU researcher and his colleagues have discovered that declines in visual-spatial skills, such as map reading, may serve as signals of Alzheimer's disease that can be detected much sooner than other symptoms. This early detection may allow doctors to begin treating the disease sooner, improving patients' quality of life. In this video, Assistant Professor of Psychology and Gerontology David K. Johnson talks about his research into Alzheimer's, including the toll the disease took on a loved one.
