Its services include development, maintenance and support of software applications; implementation of software packages; supply chain management solutions; development of personal computer (PC)-based tools; embedded software and networking solutions for automotive companies; development of business intelligence tools; chip design, verification and testing for semiconductor companies;  transaction processing, and technology-based and knowledge-based services. In July 2008, the Company acquired substantial part of the mechanical design services business of Harita TVS Technologies

     In addition, it offers application, technology, and compliance services to banking, insurance, and financial industries. Further, KPIT Cummins provides knowledge-based services, such as risk management and compliance services, business intelligence and data analytics, and business process transformation services; sills and rules-based services, including finance and accounting related services, human resource managed services, stock options management/administration, and transaction processing services; and technology-based services, such as security operations center, network operations center, and technical help desk. The company was founded in 1990 and is based in Pune, India.
