Infosys Paper (for Freshers)

Test date: 1 December 2010

Test Venue: Punjabi University, Patiala

Eligibility Criteria: 60% in 10th and 12th

(Friends be careful about the eligibility criteria, Infosys people are very strict and specific about it (like even 64.999 % is not at all acceptable ))

The placement process started at about 9:00 am.

First of all they would give a sheet to collect general information about you. Be sure to have 2 passport size photographs with you. Then after filling of the form the OMR sheet is distributed. You have to encircle the option and write the option in box.

9:30 am.

Aptitude paper was distributed. It was an easy paper 30 questions 40 minutes. Be sure to touch the mark of 18 correct. Though 18 questions is the upper limit, but I think I got just 15 questions correct. Infy people don?t tell the cut offs. But its good to be on the safe side, by getting minimum 18 questions correct.

First five questions on visual reasoning (very easy).

Next five questions on Data interpretation (Very difficult set)

I don?t remember the exact set and values, but set was as such

A company produces maruti 800 and maruti zen. There are 3 spray painters, two car makers and 1 quality checker. They work 10 hours a day. It takes 25 mins to spray paint, 15 mins to make car and 20 mins quality check of maruti 800 by a single person and 30, 15, 45 mins for maruti zen respectively

1)   What is the maximum number of maruti 800 that can be built in 24 hours?
2)   What is the maximum number of maruti zen that can be built in 24 hours?

Three more questions I don?t remember.

Each problem consists of a problem followed by two statements. Decide whether the data in the statements are sufficient to answer the question. Select your answer according to whether:

(A) Any one statement alone is sufficient to answer
(B) both statements taken together are sufficient to answer the question, but neither statement alone is sufficient
(c) each statement alone is sufficient
(D) statements 1 and 2 together are not sufficient, and additional data is needed to answer the question
