Alice Walker placed her archive in the Manuscript, Archives, and Rare Book Library of Emory University in 2008 and opened it in 2009. Walker is an African-American writer who won a Pulitzer Prize-winner for The Color Purple. She is a Georgia-born novelist, short-story writer, poet, essayist, and activist. This video was created when Walker gave her archive to Emory.
